Since 1996, Raby Construction has provided high-quality commercial and residential construction services to clients throughout the Upstate, SC and surrounding areas. We maintain a base of more than 20 employees and a solid foundation of experienced subcontractors.

Licenses

Raby Construction is a licensed General Contractor in South Carolina GC License with classifications of  BD5, WL5, GD5, AP5, and CT5. We are also licensed in North Carolina, and Georgia.

We offer turnkey construction capabilities and renovations that include everything from new flooring to HVAC, plumbing, and electrical updates. Michael Raby, President

Michael has many years of experience in the construction and design industry in a variety of areas such as commercial residential and industrial.  He has held various positions such as project engineer, technical support engineer, project manager, and superintendent. Michael has experience in all phases of design engineering including capital approval acquisitions, preliminary engineering packages, capital cost estimates, and detail engineering. He also has experience in all phases of the construction process such as estimating, capital cost estimates, superintendent and project manager.

GC Raby, Vice President

GC's primary responsibility at Raby Construction is greeting visitors at the door.  He also enjoys treats, playing fetch and napping.




Bill Camp, Estimator

Education:
BS Ohio Northern University       
Masters Urban Planning University of Tennessee

Mr. Camp has been the chief estimator at Raby Construction since 2005; he is responsible for developing detailed, accurate estimates.  Mr. Camps other responsibilities include project schedules, cost controls, value engineering, and budget development.  Prior to employment at Raby Construction Mr. Camp worked on several industrial projects as Project Director overseeing construction of industrial space. In this capacity Mr. Camp was responsible for quality control, budget control, and schedule control.  Mr. Camp was directly responsible for construction of over one million square feet of industrial space.

Chris Evans, Vice President, Controller

Chris is responsible for the general ledger, job costing, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable and receivable.  Performing monthly closings,  maintenance of accounting files , preparing and organizing financial reports and analyses.  Chris also handles all aspects of construction budgets and payables.

Bill Frazier, Project Manager

Education:
University of Bowling Green

Bill serves as project manager for Raby Construction. Bill brings many years of experience to every project. Bill has served as project manager on a wide variety of projects including residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.

 

Cesar Cortez, Project Manager

Cesar brings more than 15 years of commercial project management experience to Raby Construction.  Cesar has completed a multitude of projects during his career prior to joining Raby Construction.  Cesar is responsible of the overall success of his projects.

Scott Childress, Project Manager

Education:
Clemson University

Scott serves as a project manager overseeing all aspects of grading and infrastructure projects for Raby Construction.  Scott grew up in a family business which specialized in grading and utility construction and brings his lifetime of knowledge to Raby Construction.

Amy Ballenger, Office Administrator

Amy directly manages and supervises all paperwork for each project.  Amy is also responsible for accurate and timely submitting and receiving of forms including but not limited to HUD forms, pay requests, firm commitment documents, initial closings, and final closings.

Kris Felmet, Superintendent

Education:
USC Upstate

Kris Felmet has been with Raby Construction since 2001 and has over 18 years of experience in the construction industry.  As Superintendent Kris is responsible for coordinating and overseeing performance of all trade contactors, Kris tracks and controls the construction schedule and assigned costs to achieve completion of projects efficiently on schedule and budget.

Corey Robinson, Superintendent

Education:
B.S. Slippery Rock University, Slippery Rock PA

Registrations & Certifications:

Corey serves as a superintendent on Raby Construction's  projects.  He has prior experience as a project manager, estimator, and cost control. Corey's main duties include subcontractor management, material estimating and ordering, scheduling and quality control.  Corey has over 12 years of experience in construction management.

Brian Frisco, Superintendent

Brian serves as Superintendent at Raby Construction.  Brian has many years of experience in both commercial and residential construction.  His job responsibilities include scheduling subcontractors, ordering material and quality assurance.
